Very fast, reliable, compact. Excellent
The GS605 has been reduced in size since it was first released, which is very handy. It is very fast and neither this one nor the mark 1 unit i have hard for about 2 years have ever needed restarting, unlike the other non-brand gigabit unmanaged switch I own.
I would definitely recommend the Netgear GS605.

Case fits perfectly inside the TStak Box
This is a really nice bit set, love the colour coding, love the strong metal clasp. Really love the fact it fits in the TStak box securely, and doesn't get thrown around. The bits are not totally tight inside the box though, so if its open and you turn it upside down, some will fall out.

Awesome 10GBe RJ45 Card
This Dell JW42W is simply a rebadged X520-T2 and is otherwise exactly the same as an Intel card, just with different stickers. The firmware and driver support are from Intel, not Dell and the card shows up as an X520.
The card itself is very fast but the tiny fan is a little noisy for a workststion. The Intel drivers are very impressive with different profiles to save you fully understanding every single adapter setting (storage/virtual/standard server profile etc.)
I see Tx rates averaging 400 MB/s. For a hundered quid that is a bargain.
