Sharp Pics, Poor Zoom Control!
3 of 3 found this helpful I purchased this lens instead of the more usual 18-55mm lens that is the usual first choice for the Sony NEX 5N. The lens elements are of good quality and produce sharp pictures, however it has many shortcomings! Build quality is cheap and all plastic, but the main problem with this lens is a lack of a dedicated zoom ring. Instead, there is a slider button to the side of the lens which is slow to respond and also does not allow any fine control. All in all, considering the price of the lens, my opinion is to stick with the 18-55mm Sony lens which is both cheaper, controllable and much better build quality. I have both lenses in my kit and from now on it is the 18-55mm lens I will be using!

Top Class Budget Amp
Absolutely top class product for the price. I was a bit sceptical about the manufacturers claims and specification. However I have hooked it up to my DVD player/recorder, my smart TV and also use the mic inputs for both a microphone and my electric guitar. Excellent sound quality from the amp. I am using a set of Samsung surround sound speakers with the amp and I am well impressed with the results. Sound output and clarity is superb, and when cranked up it does not distort. Just nice and clean.
The only downside is that the surround and centre speaker connections are a bit small to take my 2.5 mm square speaker cable easily. However with a bit of careful crimping and use of spade terminals, it's not a problem to get high quality speaker cable to fit. The main speaker outputs are standard banana terminals, so no problem at all with hooking them up.
Be warned, the remote control can only be used with the mp3 player/radio mode, so it can't control the volume of the amp overall for line inputs. It's not a problem for me as I use the remotes with my DVD player and smart tv to control volume.
All in all it is a great amp for the price and I am delighted with it!

Perfectly cut chips every time!
This chip cutter produces perfectly cut chips every time. It is robust and nice sharp cutting blades. Mine came with 8mm and 11mm blades, so they are slightly smaller than stated, however the smaller one makes perfect size french fries, and the larger cuts "chip shop" size chips. The produc t has been well designed and it is simple to change the blade/pusher set in seconds. It will take a potato of up to 65mm diameter and 85mm length. For best results, square off the ends of the potato then square off, top/bottom and both sides to form an elongated cube, then use the chipper to make perfectly symmetrical chips so they fry or oven cook evenly. In all honesty I can't find any faults with this product.
