They're On Fire!
Just an absolutely amazing album. I heard them on Zane Lowe off of Radio 1 a couple of years back and stopped what i was doing to listen to the track. I had the same reaction when i first heard sigur ros - so i knew that had to be a good thing!
A few months later "Wake Up" it was all over the BBC on their trailers for Autumn 2005 (you're bound to know it, an epic, choral chorus that's sends shivers down your spine. Arcade Fire are undoubtedly original and this was for me the best album of 2005 - no question! I still listen to it a lot, wishing that the follow up (Neon Bible) was as good!
It's personal, it's haunting, it's huge, it's strange and so many other things all rolled into one.
If you LOVE music, then you have to have this in your CD collection.
