Excellent guitar

Anyone Can Get to Know the Beatles!
4 of 4 found this helpful I have wanted this set on DVD for quite sometime. I recorded what aired on ABC in the 90's, but the VHS quality left alot to be desired & I came to learn that the DVD set contains hours of additional live concert footage as well as more in depth interviews. The only time I got to see the Beatles back then, was their performances on the Ed Sullivan Show. The anthology makes it clear how incredibly talented each of them were & how tight they were together...and I LOVE that! I'm immediately thrown back then & am reminded of the intensity of the mania & how it planted the desire in me to become a musician...we ALL wanted to learn to play! It also dispells alot of the rumors of the time about personality conflicts, rivalries with other British bands at the time, most all of those rumors were unnecessarily started by reporters in the press.
It's my hope to pass this on to my kids & grandkids so they can learn where the roots of todays rock music came from and get them excited about the amazing part the Beatles play in the history of rock & pop music. This set also gives anyone interested a glimpse of that decade...the 60's. The music, the culture, the introduction of drugs on a large scale & the loss of innocence.
I highly recommend the Beatles Anthology for it's impact value on today's society. What a great time and what great music it is and will always be. So buy it...sing along with it...love it...and by all means, pass it on.
