A quality product! Excellent sound!
7 of 7 found this helpful The HLLY TX-30S is an attractive, quality product. It has excellent sound. It features protection circuitry for high temperature and antenna mis-match. The signal is clean and produces very little interference. The transmitter has 50 micro second pre-emphasis, not the 75 micro second preferred in the US, but it sounds clear, despite a slight lack of brilliance in the highs. The seller says the pre-emphasis is user selectable, but does not explain how to make the switch. A circuit modification is evidently necessary. I have no problem with the sound. Many commercial radio stations have strident highs which are fatiguing to the ear. This unit sounds just fine as it is to me. Another note: You may wish to purchase a different power supply. The one the seller offers produces 12 volts / 12 amps., yeilding about 20 watts output, max. Instead, shop for one that produces 13.8 volts / 12 amps. It will yield the full 30 watts advertised.

Works well and well worth the money
1 of 1 found this helpful I have three sump pumps in my basement because of a high water table. My son and his fiancee have my two room unfinished basement full of their belongings. It is necessary to keep the humidity under control. I am using two of this model dehumidifier to do the job. They work well, keeping the humidity in the 30 to 40 percent range. They are quiet and effective, even in colder weather, when the temperature in the basement falls to 60 or below. The defrost feature allows the units to continue working in this environment. The controls are easy to read and work as they are supposed to. The 70 pint capacity is handy since I have lots of moisture to remove from the air. Checking them and emptying once a day and an occasional filter cleaning are all that is necessary to keep the humidity under control. I am happy with how well these dehumidifiers work and would recommend them to anyone with as severe a damp basement problem as I have. They are reasonably priced and well worth the investment.
