Mad for it !!
Great sounds from the late 80's - 90's covering the likes of The Stone Roses to Seahorses and Primal Scream through to Oasis surrounded by some great Britpop company. Loved the track layout on this album and to hear Blur being part of the baggy era once more brings a tear to my eye. Madchester raved on but lets not forget the other bands of the era that kept music - real music that is - alive in Britain and abroad...

B-boys, b-girls
Yeaaahh Booyeee !! Having seen the Beasties way back in '86 at the then Hammersmith Appollo on the undercard of Run DMC on there Raising Hell tour, I had a suspicion that these guys in chequered shirts and bell hats drinkin Buds may be something to keep my eye on... then WHAM !! Licence to Ill hits the scene like a sledgehammer. Guitar riffs and heavy bass with New Yawk syle lyrics. Following VW medalion wearing onto Paul's boutique with funky 70's stylee guitar and bass through to the Ill communication extreme sport soundtracks. The best re-inventions since Bowie. Also these guys can play instruments and make the girlees scream from here to Whitecastles. This is all the tunes you need to observe the post punk Beasties take Hip-Hop to a new level. Hold it now..... HIT IT !!

Rapid Eye Movement
Suddenly listening to the radio I realised that I only owned 1 REM album. The greatest hits give you the variety of sound and emotion that also gives you flashbacks to the times the songs were released. Something that only a few bands manage. That is that you can remember what was happening around the time you heard an REM track for the first time as they have that kind of impact. No Shiny Happy People, but all the rest stand on their own as current and future classics.
