    Compact unit
I upgraded to this after my handheld unit died after 10 years of pretty industrious use. I have always cooked from scratch but never owned a food processor. After much research I decided on this one. Apart from the power the potato masher really sold it for me. I use it most days. Its great for coleslaw, any chopping and slicing. I cant compare to others as I haven't anything to compare it too. The potato masher is fabulous. I prefer my mash a little courser, rather than some homogenised starchy pulp. There are 3 settings, course medium and fine. I would say the course is the same texture that you would achieve by hand. The stick blender compares well to one I have had previously. It was a 750w so it managed to pulp everything well. Even soft herbs which can be a challenge for less powerful ones. Its pretty expensive and comparing them on spec, it does seem that the masher pushed the price up. TBH I dont mash that often unless I make a fish pie or a cottage pie about twice a year each This is partly because I hate mashing. It was one of my jobs as a kid and I still carry the chip on my shoulder. Since owning this we have had mash several times much to my families delight. The footprint is small and since I use it so often I leave it plugged in the corner of my small kitchen. I am not sure how I lived without it.
