No better than other brands
Common fault with this design as all other brands is rapid failure from failed bearings, mine fell apart mid ride 18 miles from home resulting in major inconvenience.

Barely functional
Chase Direct dispatched the guitar rack very promptly. I chose to purchase this item rather than one of the cheaper Chinese direct imports as I believed that it would be a better product. When it arrived as a self assembly kit without instructions, I was disappointed. In order to bolt it together, I had to redrill one of the holes. It is a clever design, which has been badly manufactured from flimsy materials. I feel I am too busy to go to the trouble of sending it back, so it is residing in my music room in use until it breaks. I hope that when this happens, my instruments do not suffer damage. I would advise anyone who is considering purchasing an instrument stand to save up for a more rugged model, and try to test out a display model before committing to purchase.

Not to be attempted without competent woodworking skill due to complex unfinished neck joint.
I have been patiently assembling this kit for the last month. It has required more skill that anticipated, because whilst created from good materials, the neck joint had been supplied roughly cut and needed to be correctly chiselled and shimmed to achieve an effective fit. Rather that returning the kit as faulty, I took great care fitting two additional pieces of 3mm mahogony veneer that I purchased seperately. These are now concealed within the joint. On the whole I would rate the project as rewarding, and a learning experience. Not to be attempted by anyone without prior woodworking knowledge. It will never look like the real thing.
