Split Decision
Having two cutting edges can be both advantageous and a slight hindrance. Against the usual single bladed performance the moving edge seems to start the split more often than the static end making targeting the split a little difficult particularly with wood of small cross-section. I found myself blocking off the moving blade with a piece of flat wood so that I could target where the split would occur. However, the log-splitter never failed even on large logs. The position one needs to adopt to pull the triggers means leaning over the machine so eye protection is mandatory. In searching for more safety I feel it has been overdone and the former two-handled machines are less threatening to one's face although I accept that the new design is universal. Constantly stopping and starting an electric motor makes me doubt its longevity. As I'm no expert on motors I should need re-assurance. Powerful beast though, it won't let you down.

Tunnel Vision
Went for this after watching the brilliant "The Bridge". The Tunnel is gentler on the senses as most of the dialogue is in English so subtitles unnecessary unlike The Bridge. The Tunnel is a copy of it though, characters have the same complexities with subtle differences enough to keep you guessing and the storyline isn't an exact crib. We were intrigued such that we have ordered the third disc. The characters in The Bridge have the edge of eccentricity over those in The Tunnel, well they are foreign!
