Highly recommended and thought provoking.
There have been many stories and films made about the Holocaust. This film was unique in that it dealt with a father of two Orthodox Jewish sons who felt it was his duty. He wanted to give his sons a greater view of the world, to teach tolerance and deeper understanding of why "righteous gentiles" helped Jews during the Holocaust, even when it put their own lives and families lives at risk. This father takes his sons back to Poland to find the family that hid his relatives from the Nazis during the Holocaust. I am a social worker who works with Holocaust survivors and this film came highly recommended to me. There is a short interview session after the film where questions are raised, under similar circumstnces what would you have done? Very thought provoking, and well done, teaches that there is a potential for goodness in people.
