A good toy for an intelligent 4 year old.
I bought this for my grandson who was 4 years old on 02 December 2018, As it is only 10 days since then, I cannot opine whether it is durable or not. I suspect that it will survive well over 12 months or so, if it is not badly treated.
It seemed to be entertaining him for the short duration of my visit. He used it to push his Thomas battery powered engine, which had no battery, around his wooden Brio layout quite satisfactorily, including the inclines over bridges.
As any new toy can be a new experience for a child, it is educational. In this case it can be used to learn how many trucks he can push or pull around the layout, which will teach him about the forces of inertia and gravity in an empirical sense. He is an intelligent child and I expect him to become bored with it after a few weeks, unless his experience is enhanced by other aspects of play, such as more track, wagons and engines, etc.

A great surprise present.
I bought this for a friend’s birthday present. I’ve checked it and it looks great. I think he will be well pleased with it.
