Good value unit
1 of 1 found this helpful I have two of these and use them for occasional events. They are easy to use and well put together. The only drawback is that for some reason pans seem to develop a dough-nut shaped hot-spot at the bottom after a while. I've seen this with different pans so I'm sure it's the cooker not the pan design (I also have two other induction hobs which do not cause the same problem with the same pans). I should say though that this does tend to be after some time in use - especially when using them like a hot plate to keep food hot. In normal use I don't imagine it would be a great problem. Recommended then for normal day-to-day use :)

Perfect machine for perfect rice!
1 of 1 found this helpful I now have two of these, so can I can cook rice for up to 40 people without any hassle :)
The machine is a doddle to use and will keep your rice warm for a couple of hours undisturbed. It does lose heat eventually though, so don't think you can keep rice warm all day in it - read up on your food safety!
A great buy at the price though - simple and effective.

The everything-but-fryer
2 of 4 found this helpful This is an amazing machine - but unfortunately for all the wrong reasons! Despite being called an "Air-Fryer" it comes with instructions for thawing, roasting, grilling, broiling or baking food - everything but frying food! You can make anything from a roast dinner to a loaf of bread or a fairy cake, as long as its not fried. The enclosed recipe book has recipes for pasta, couscous, dumplings, stuffed fish, roast veggies, grilled prawns, hot cross buns, lemon drizzle cake and even something called chocolate and raspberry delight - but nothing fried. There is also a recipe for something called spanish tortilla - which I am quite sure is an omelette to most of us, but hey, if you don't know the difference between baking and frying, how would know the difference between a tortilla and an omelette?
I'd love to know how they got that picture on the box too. I tried making chicken and chips in this thing; I used chicken drumsticks like the ones in the pic, and nice thin fries, like the ones in the pic. I got pale anaemic looking chicken and soggy horrible fries, and it took more than twice as long to achieve that questionable result as using more conventional means would.
I guess I'll figure out what this machine is good at eventually (it must be good for something?), but it sure isn't going to include frying anything.
