Disappointed with general features and remote control is useless!
I was looking forward to receiving this item in the post.... but as I unwrapped it and started to set it up I quickly became disillusioned.
For a start why is the Remote Control so small, badly designed so you have to use both hands to operate it and the lettering so tiny? Also the range of it appears to be about 3 foot from the base unit!
The instructions to set it up are pretty complicated too. I gave up trying to store the 10 pre-set DAB radio stations after about 20 attempts trying to do it.
The Bluetooth function is pretty useless. I set my nokia phone to play through the system but the maximum volume was barely louder than my phone!
I think the Roberts Blutune 100 is compact, good looking and has a reasonable sound quality and tone to it, but the features could be improved immensely.
Apart from the items mentioned above I think it should be able to connect to Wi-Fi so more DAB stations can be accessed and CD playback could include the artist and album details etc.
I would not recommend the Roberts Blutune 100.
