It's really easy to use. I needed to call Garmin to get it to pair with my phone but that was the norm for my last vivo-active. I chose this model because it is waterproof and I use it primarily with outrigger paddling. However, I am still waiting for Garmin to invent a paddling app for outrigger paddling.
In 20/20 hindsight as a female I might have gone with the 4S rather than the 4. If you want to go analog with the watch face it can be difficult in low light areas to see it accurately because the hands are an outline, not a solid.

This product was recommended by my optometrist to decrease my chances of developing macular degeneration. I’m totally behind that.
