10 of 10 found this helpful Picture quality on this 32" TV is about as good as you can get without going to HDTV. It is a heavy beast (2-man lift) but if you have enough room for it then I would recommend it against all other CRT sets.
The TV is easy to set up despite having a wide range of facilities and settings. Pixel Plus 2 is a pseudo-HDTV setting which can look amazingly sharp and as solid as LCD, but makes a mess of fast-moving action. Fortunately there are fall-backs in the form of Movie Plus, 100Hz, etc. Sound is full and inclined to be a bit boomy, but this can be fixed on the graphic equaliser. So far, there are no reports of the "Painter Chip" problems that plagued the earlier versions of this set.
The only drawback is the lack of a digital tuner. But if you are prepared to live with your Digibox or Sky receiver and you are not swept up in the fad for flat screens then this is probably the best TV for you.
Some might argue that the Panasonic TX-32PD30 is a comparable set but (despite being let down by a dodgy 28PW6515) I still reckon that Philips turns out the better product.
Be prepared to pay up to £150 for a good example.

Flat protector on roundy screen
6 of 9 found this helpful The protector is flat and is only big enough to cover the flat part of the screen. The edges of the Galaxy S7 screen are rounded. As a result, the protector does not cover all of the screen. The result is both unsightly and difficult to use.
Not recommended.

Break some of these
My daughter is suffering from terminal dropsy. This is not the first phone she has owned and we decided to put a screen protector on it to stop it going the way that the others did. She has smashed her way through three of these screens now but the phone itself is unscathed. Break some of these and not your phone...
