Mixed feelings; I want to go for it if I can sort out a few problems.
Having moved from a Nokia 6500 to the E71, I wasn't surprised to find an added layer of complexity but found it fairly easy, with the help of the CD manual, to find my way round the menu system and to set it up to most of my familiar settings. So far so good. However, I soon found some snags. I backed up my 6500 onto its memory card but the E71 didn't recognise it. So I started transferring my calendar details. However, the E71's calendar did not have all the capabilities of that in the 6500 and there were many entries that I could not reproduce (I have one item that repeats every 4 weeks) but I could find no way to do that). Also discovered was that, unlike the 6500, the E71 could only hold addresses in its phone memory. Sure, it downloaded all my numbers from the SIM but that is not how I do things. The final thing that sent me back (hopefully temporarily) to my old phone was that even though one could select large, normal or small text, that did not set the size of text in SMS and MMS messages. It was small or nothing; so small in fact that I had to use a magnifying glass to read my messages. There appears to be no way to change the font size. Fine if you have 20/20 vision but I don't. So, I am disappointed that these little things mean that I will probably have to sell on the phone and live with my old one. I don't want to. One last word. The keyboard is excellent. The contouring of the key tops was such that I could type quite happily with my thumbs. It took a white to get used to the layout but by the time I reverted to my old phone, I was quite fluent using it. To anyone who wants a smart phone and can live with the limitations mentioned, I say go for it. I just hope I can sort out some of the problems I had.
Power Supply 600mAh AC-DC Transformer Adapter With Multivoltage Plugs 3V-12V UK

Does what it is supposed to do.
Very versatile piece of equipment though it could have dome with a bit more oomf say 1A output. My only gripe is that the little adapters can be fitted either way round so it would be easy to get the wrong polarity. However, they are colour coded and there are minute markings showing the polarity. I would rather they juast had a large + or -.
New Remote Control Socket Wireless Electric Power Switch Plug and Play White UK

    Programmable and simple to use.
I bought two controllers, each with one socket. One was to allow us to be able to control an inaccessible 13A outlet and the other to check for remote control in my 'office'. As one would expect, both sets worked well and I will be buying more sockets to go with the second controller.
