Gems form the heyday of Edwardian musical comedies
A wonderful selection of mostly long-forgotten musical comedy gems. Beautifully performed, it is a disc to raise the spirits, and even a laugh. The tunes are memorable, and sure to be hummed for days afterwards.

Very imaginative
Very readable, and full of rare insights in to the vagaries of theatrical management in Victorian times. The pressures of North American theatrical touring is revealed, and the sheer drive necessary to make a living. More illustrations would have been welcome, if available.
