Item exactly as described and shown in the photos. If only all retailers (let alone eBay sellers) were as good! Couldn't be happier.

Upgraded from 2012 MacBook Pro
3 of 3 found this helpful My 2012 15” MacBook Pro was no longer keeping up with my photo / video editing needs. So I finally gave in and bought this top spec 2017 version.
Instant impressions were that it’s so much thinner (than my non retina version with a cd drive), so much lighter and a lot sleeker looking in the space grey instead of silver.
The new touch bar is a joy to use and I love how it predicts what features might be useful to you based on the programme you are using.
iMovie and photoshop run incredibly smoothly, this 2.9ghz quadcore i7 with 16gb ram and separate dedicated graphics really is worth the extra expense if you want snappy processing for everything.
The other big change I’ve noticed is with the solid state storage instead of previous mechanical hard drive. There is a significant speed increase in transferring or accessing files.
One of my big concerns about the upgrade was the lack of normal USB ports, being replaced by 4 small usb-c ports. Also the lack of a sd card slot. However I found a very useful adapter for plugging into the usb-c ports which give me these ports back again. I do now love the ease of the usb-c ports for doing everything, you can charge your mac through them, link to an external display, plugin all your peripherals, basically I’m a convert!
Final points are the screen is absolutely stunning, bright with great colours and incredibly sharp detail. The keyboard I got used to very quickly, very similar to the previous one just with thinner keys so much less tracking. Overall this means the keyboard can be clickier with less feedback but this is hardly noticeable and definitely a worthy trade off in order to make the MacBook so thin. The trackpad has been made even larger and been given the force touch ability which is useful.
Overall I can’t recommend this macbook enough, it’s a joy to use! Whilst you certainly have to pay a lot for it so it’s by no means a bargain you definitely do get what you pay for. The best laptop on the market.
