Not suitable for large dogs

The design of this coat is not suited to large breed dogs. I bought this for my lab but the rear legs straps are sewn in and virtually impossible to fit rendering them redundant. The strap that fastens around the belly is just too narrow to keep the coat from flapping up over the back and head particularly as the coat is so lightweight. I understand that the straps used to be detachable with stud fastenings but they changed the design as they weren't reliable, they could have compensated for this by making the belly strap wider to keep the coat in place or simply using velco on the leg straps. This coat may fit some smaller dogs better although my neighbour tried one on her small spaniel and found it didn't fit well around the neck having no adjustment.
