An overlooked pop masterpiece

Bible Belt is simply wonderful. The word 'underrated' seems over-used just now, but if any musician of the last few years has been underappreciated it has to be Diane Birch. Why several of the tracks on this CD weren't global hits is baffling. Seek out her fantastic appearances online with Daryl Hall from the time this record appeared, and then check out everything she has ever done. She is one of those rare artists who absorb everything good from the past and come up with something truly their own. Brilliant, Affecting, Witty, Sad, Joyful. Life Affirming.
