Fix-A-Floor Bonding Floor Adhesive for Loose & Hollow Tile Repair Fixafloor
05 Dec, 2018
Works well, but application could be cleaner
It works well! Inject through small holes in the grout and it fills up any voids. It is satisfying seeing the adhesive ooze from neighbouring holes as you pump it in! As it is (and has to be) quite runny (similar consistency to PVA glue), It could do with a better applicator that automatically cuts the flow when removed from the hole, to prevent spillage. You have to quickly cover the end with your finger as you move from hole to hole. I also had some leakage from the back on one of the tubes, not sure if it was the tube or if I was pumping too hard, but I ended up in quite a mess! You potentially need quite a lot (I had to use half a tube just fixing one slate) so could work out expensive for large floors, although probably still cheaper, quicker and easier than re-laying the whole floor! It would be better sold in larger (better value) containers, e.g. 5 litres, with a refillable purpose designed 'no leak' applicator. Overall, very glad I found this product because it did the job!
