Sony DSC W300 Digital Camera Nice but complicated to use.
A very nice but extremely compact digital camera. Fiddly to use with its tiny buttons. I had to download the 145 page user manual to find out what its functions were and how to access them. Not an easy task at all. If you are looking for a simple 'point and click' digital camera this is not the one for you. However it is beautifully made and a delight to handle. I just wish it was easier to use. Too many menus with too many options. Battery life is good though and the images I have managed to take all look good.
To sum up, a good looking camera that produces good results once you have mastered the very steep learning curve on how to use it.

Replacement, faster, motors for Thomas the tank engines.
I bought a few of these motors as replacements for the original motors in the "Thomas The Tank Engine" series of locos.
They are not only faster but quieter than the original motors. A degree of skill is required to fit them and soldering knowledge is a must but, once fitted, they are well worth the time spent.

Works well, but only with Windows XP Pro or Vista.
The good news. An amazingly simple and ideal piece of kit to use to transfer the contents of VHS tapes to your pc. Two modes included. One simple 'copy everything' mode and a more advanced mode with more control and editing facilities. Not difficult to master though.
The not so good news. I found this kit ONLY works perfectly if you use it with a pc running the old Windows XP Pro or Vista operating system. It is said to work with Windows 7 (32 bit) but I have heard tales of problems doing this. I have also heard it does NOT work with Windows 8, 10 or 11. However I have not tried this.
