A good tool but not a cure-all
Works great on all plastic or all wooden cars with no steel ends or grab irons. It is also distracted by metal on cars on adjoining tracks and by nearby magnetic uncoupling ramps. Other than that, I would say that it works about 60 to 70% of the times that I've tried to use it. It's a good addition to your tool collection but not a cure-all.
