Macross Do You Remember Love!
A lot of people's go to on epic Anime film will usually be Akira, but mine is definitely "Macross: Do You Remember Love". As a kid, I saw a cut dubbed version when it was called "Clash of the Bionoids" I always saw it as the Robotech we never got....or at least had the change to see because I never got to see Robotech: The Untold Story. This movie is the retelling of the original Macross Saga (Super Dimensional Fortress...something or rather). It really works because the story is always moving along, and we get all the big moments from the TV series. Thankfully, we also get Minmei's original music rather than the terrible original songs that Harmony Gold put together.
This set also has an english audio track. It's not the best, but for some reason I find it entertaining to watch because I saw the cut down versions of this as a kid. I loved quoting the terrible lines like, "It looked real to me. To me it looked real", or "Pro-to-cul-ture!" You'll get a more dramatic presentation when viewing it subtitled with the original Japanese. But for those who had "Clash of the Bionoids" VHS tape will get a nostalgic kick out of it, and you'll get all the scenes that were originally cut out of the movie.
The last thing that it comes with is the original soundtrack on CD. Unfortunately, it only has some of the Minmei songs. Most of the songs are from the original score. It's still a nice thing to add to your mp3 playlist however.
If you're a fan of love stories mixed with mecha combat, I highly recommend this one. Akira may be seen as a classic, but this one is an ESSENTIAL!

Not the Best Right Now
0 of 1 found this helpful I bought this to replace my A320 which suffered from a crack screen. The Gameboy and NES emulators work great. However, there seems to be saving issues with the NES emulator. There is a work around on that one. If you make a save state before you load one, it'll bring up your save state without a problem. The Gameboy works well, and the contrast is awesome because I use to play the original one on the darkest settings.
However, all the other emulators don't work as well. The Super NES audio is jacked up. I'm having issues mapping the controller buttons on the Genesis one. You can not install dingux, or any other kind of Homebrew Emulation systems on it.
Overall it's okay as a emulator if you love the Gameboy (which is fortunate because that is one of my favorite systems). But I'm pretty bummed about how the other systems don't work. In my opinion the price is way to high because of the emulator problems. Get an A320 if you can find one.

My Favorite Toy as a Kid was based on a Widely Popular IP from Japan
As a kid I used to collect these things called MUSCLE things. It was composed of a millions of these unusual creatures made to look like prowrestlers. When it was released in the US, only two had real names. The others were left to our imaginations. I remember endless hours playing with my fellow childhood collectors from school creating adventures, title matches and booking pay per views.
Imagine my surprise when I find out years later that this was all based on a manga/anime.
Utlimate Muscle is the successor to those Muscle things I collected. The only difference is that the anime actually was released here translated in English. These figures mirror the ones that came out all those years ago. However some of these are painted rather being one color. These toys can take a pounding, and are very durable. Some of these are sculpted to be perpetually in a single wrestling move with an opponent (which is honestly, kind of limiting). But these things can still be up to your imagination. You can still create your own adventures, matches, and PPVs.
Just don't do it at the office you work in because your co-workers will give you strange looks.
