Pearl Harbor kit.
I haven't constructed the kit. I think that the Aichi D3A1 "Val" dive bomber should have been included in this kit. The aircraft is included in the Airfix range, and this dive bomber did take part in the Pearl Harbor attack. (It would mean a greater price, but a more comprehensive kit.) Concerning the information about the raid, I was always under the impression that the attack was planned by the talented Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, and that the British attack on the Italian fleet at Taranto in November 1940 inspired him to this end. Little is said about the two determined and spirited P-40B pilots who bravely did take off, despite orders to the contrary, and engaged the enemy, shooting down some Japanese planes, at Pearl Harbor. Otherwise I think it is quite educational, and absorbing as I find model making to be. If these models will last 35 years or more as some of my earlier Airfix models have done, then they are durable. Perhaps the inclusion of stands might improve the kit, but that would incur a greater cost again.

Lovely miniature!
A beautiful miniature, of a long past vehicle. Lovely! Attractively set in a transparent box. Excellent!

A pleasing vintage Revell kit.
I haven't assembled the model, but I like this vintage Revell kit, as it contains a stand, a pilot figure and I believe the propeller can rotate. These qualities might seem a bit juvenile to some people, but I like such kits. And it's in very good condition. The decals don't seem too bad either. Modern kits often don't have stands, figures and the propellers aren't made to rotate. To me this is a beautiful kit. I am well pleased.
It's a kit of one of the early "modern" Italian fighters of World War II, that is, a single engine single seater monoplane, as I understand it. It takes one back to another difficult time in the world, the coronavirus being a currently difficult time.
