Great set!
1 of 1 found this helpful Fantastic blu ray transfer, if you're a busters fan it's definitely worth buying for a small price.
I find the blu ray transfer really compliments the 80s SFX very well and certainly does not look out of place, proving that 80s effects can and do work in today's advances.
A lot less fine grain in the second film, fine grain in the first film isn't all that often and still looks great, plenty of scenes that look fantastic.
Another winner for Sony.

Ninjitsu 80s fun!
First time I've ever seen this film, blu ray transfer holds up very well for a low budget flick. Some moments of scattering grain but no problem.
The film has a lot of vague undertones of the original plot, but entertaining though.
Some blatant dodgy continuity shots, scenes, especially the first encounter with the base commander, the moment they leave the office, it's ineptly clear that the actor leaving with Jackson is completely different to Dudikoff! That's Cannon for ya!
The action is good, over pronounced though.
The first film has a lot more gloss (surprisingly) and a better soundtrack, fights look more technically crafted.
Out of all the Cannons ninja films, the American Ninja is my personal favourite.
Pure 80s guilty pleasure.

Ninja 3..
80s ninja nostalgia and the ever so hot Lucinda Dickey!
Amazingly, the blu ray A disc plays on UK players!
Was dubious at first, thankfully I don't have to return it.
The transfer is very good, fine grain to be expected of course. Detail is strong.
It is a bit pricey really, but there isn't much choice around on this blu ray release.
Hoping Arrow might give this a go, doubt lionsgate will.
If you dig the genre and dig the era, then you can dig this movie.
I really didn't see the point of it giving a dvd copy as well, why bother?! Though the region coded dvd version does not play on my UK player. Laptop it is then.
Don't let that put you off though, it's the blu you only really want.
American ninja is my favourite though.
Still worth the buy.
