Large and affordable
I looked at several 'antique' maps before purchasing this one. It is not old, just old style, but the quality is very good and the value for money (size to cost ratio) is very, very good. If you want something genuinely old and handmade then spend a fortune on a genuine map, if you want something large, cheap and good quality, that looks the part, then this is a very worthwhile purchase, imho. It is not printed on cheap paper, it is on sturdy thin cardboard. It looks great in my study and the money I saved from not buying a genuine antique map is well spent on cigars and single malt to enjoy in my study. Ideal for a man cave/den when you want to save money for tasty consumables or fancypants jukeboxes. :-D

Sturdy and effective
1 of 1 found this helpful It is not the lightest or quietest pencil sharpener I have used, but it is very strong and works very well. As a hobbyist sketcher I have tried many different pencil sharpeners, battery operated and manual, and this is definitely my favourite. I wish I had avoided some of the cheaper ones and gone straight for this amazing beast.
It is heavy and solid, a little noisy, but it works so well that I can easily forgive the noise, and the weight is an advantage as it doesn't vibrate itself across my desk like some of the lesser machines I have used.
I would recommend this item for anybody that has to sharpen pencils often.
