Vanator - Romanian Hunter: The I.A.R.80 and I.A.R.81 in Ultimate Detail (Hardco.

The book any Aviation buff would love to have it
I was expecting for this gem of a book my whole life. The Romanian Aviation history was a thorn in the back of the Soviets and the Communist regime and therefore it was left to fade away. That's why no IAR-80 or IAR-81 were kept and all that's left are replicas or parts. No movie was done about the Romanian Aviation (names like Șerbănescu or Cantacuzino being errased from the collective memory and cautiously avoided) even though durring the Communist regime in Romania the historically based cinematography was a must. Even in school, the Romanian history about WWII presented only the events after the day of 23rd of August 1944, when the king arrested Marshall Ion Antonescu and switched sides. If in other parts of the world, the airplanes were cherished, restored and displayed with honours, in Romania and other countries forgotten by the Allies beyond the Iron Curtain, these vestiges of the past were left to rust or were sent to the scrap. The same thing has happened with the men and women who lived the Iccarus dream. They were inprisoned, ostracized, being forced to led a great part of their lives as pariahs, being given only the jobs which nobody wanted to do (dog catcher, sewer worker, grave digger, etc.). This didn't happened only to the Romanians (who were at first on the Axis side), but also to the Poles, the Czech and the Slovacs who fought in the Battle of Britain and then tossed aside and left for Stalin to deal with when they have outrun their usefulness. Even the Russians who lived abroad were tricked by Stalin into comming home and then the majority being executed as traitors. Therefore, to see a book that started to unveil the forgotten part of history and in so many details is a treasure. I especially liked the chapters about unknown things like the cockpit interior and about the accesories and the Annexes about the surviving parts and replicas, the Romanian pronunciation, Aviation Unit Structure, Aviation Ranks and Timeline of Significant Events. The price was a bit steep but compared with the other offers found online this is the best. At last but not the least, the photos (loads of crystal clear b/w and coloured pictures) and the schematics are well focused, the quality of the paper is the best, making this book a must have for the Model builders and history buffs alike. I would recommend this book whole heartedly to anyone. Thank you and God bless!
BERGEN 6PC EXTRA LONG TORX SCREWDRIVERS n.1520

Just what I needed for some out of reach screws
Recently I had some trouble with my Philips stereo and it has some out of reach screws. So... I needed a really looooong screwdriver the screws being Torx and in a hole which is narrow and more than 10 cm deep so the usual screw bits just wouldn't do the trick. This star shapped screwdrivers are the bees knees. These is exactly what I need to get the job done. Thank you for the tools and for the decent price.
