Big, scary book for not much money
For someone who has set themselves the insane task of learning Russian, the day was always going to come when I'd need a bloody big dictionary. All the 'Concise' and 'Compact' versions seemed to lack something in the reviews and then there was this - the full monty for less than the price of a pint of beer. Yes please!
Very, very pleased.

Lots of Different Bricks Puts a Limit on What can be Dreamed Up
Okay, I'm old. I remember playing with a huge box full of about five different types of brick (1970s). The possibilities for imagination with such a box are endless. The problem with the classic set - if it can be termed a problem - is that there are so many different types of brick, with such highly specific functions, that unless you start downloading instructions there's a limit to what you can build - there are barely two bricks the same.
I wonder whether it might one day be possible simply to supply a pack of few hundred basic bricks suitable fr a four-year-old to learn to imagine with, before forcing creativity to be focused to such an extent?
