Robust and practical multi-handset-capable cordless phone
1 of 1 found this helpful I say "robust" - I bought this model used to replace an exactly-the-same-but-broken one which was still working fine after six years except for the solid state answering machine (no tapes!). (The one I've just bought works). But drop the handsets and the worst that has happened in six years is that the rechargeable batteries have fallen out. The handsets are logical, neat and easy to use, with none of the "My Little Pony Flashing Lights" brash seaside plastic tat atmosphere of some systems branded with big names such as BT.
By buying a single handset and base of the exact same spec as my existing handsets I now have four cordless phones for the house, even if I only have three charging points! To buy a completely new system would have been environmentally-damaging and would easily have cost over £50 more.
I mean, this system is so old, it was made in Germany. No reason not to buy used - helps your wallet, the environment and your home's looks. You know it makes sense;

Great value watch for the price of a battery!
Nice chunky, easy-to-read gents' watch complete with day and date. It cost me far less than a replacement battery would have done.

This product humanely and simply stops Squirrel scoffing the seed I bought for the little birds. The squirrel's weight closes the feed holes. It's important that the feeder should hang freely away from any other branch or pole the squirrel could hang from/stand on and reach the food.
My squirrel is still investigating methods of getting in - this morning he launched himself at the feeder from a wall. Then "clang!" it shut. As yet he did not succeed to suck seed.
The sensitivity of the mechanism can be adjusted. I observed this afternoon that the default setting allows parakeets to feed, clearly they are quite light, and you should maje the spring more sensitive to guard against parakeets,
There are at least three versions of this product - also a Mini which would surely be too small, and a Plus, for which you can buy a perspex awning to keep the rain off the seed. This one has been a big hit - but only with little birds! - and I may upgrade next.
