Great classic

Blind buy. Was looking for a classic to complement small collection of older brands (quorum, tabac, grey flannel, et al). First use, i thought it was too harsh, too synthetic. Came back to it a couple of days later. Much better. Honey is the big note my nose gets. There's also tobacco and incense. Like many scents from the '80s, there's lots of notes in here. Probably not for everyone. It takes a certain confidence to wear this frag. Highly recommended.

Great find

John Varvatos by John Varvatos I've tried lots of fragrances in the last year. This one strikes me as unique. With a lot of scents, I find similarities to others. This one is harder to pin down. Perhaps its the notes (hay, dates, tamarind, styrax)? If this was a car, it would be a Lexus. Refined, mature, easy on the wear. Bad points: Silage and longevity are not its strength. And it can be pricey. But I acquired a tester from a discounter. Saved some curious cash. Find myself going back to it. Recommended if you can find a deal.
