Neumann TLM170i Multi Pattern Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

Excellently built, and very natural sounding micrphones

I haven't tried them on everything yet, but so far on acoustic guitar and grand piano they sound fantastic. I have a large mic collection of vintage and modern, these will be one of my go to mics from now on.

Sounds good, just one small problem

I have a variety of different versions of the 414, and they all sound a bit different. These are certainly a bit brighter and more sensitive than my vintage ones, but they still sound great. My only complaint would be the digital switches on the front and back. It just seems like one more thing to go wrong, when the manual switches of older models felt more reliable.
