Curl Up With a Ball of (Big) Yarn
0 of 1 found this helpful I bought this for the promise of simple, quick and fashionable sweater patterns, and it certainly delivers. Easy to read, simple measurements and diagrams -- it is perfect for the beginner, or an experienced knitter who just wants to make some stylish items. There are 19 patterns which include such items as a shrug, vest, poncho and a zip-up jacket, as well as timeless sweater designs.
The book has clear print, is easy to follow, and there is a concise instructional section at the front, which is all the beginning knitter needs to know to get started. Sources and yarn specifications are at the back. One great book! Bought another for my buddy right away.

Simply Beautiful Sweaters in this Book!
4 of 4 found this helpful A fabulous book full of patterns for the sweater lover. Timeless styles accompanied by very specific guidelines to achieve the look which is clearly photographed. There are several classics you will want to knit over and over again. The patterns range from easy to medium skill, with an emphasis on the type of yarn that is used. I am a beginner, and I feel I can successfully follow this book; but the advanced knitter will find these patterns charming and worthwhile doing, especially if one is interested in working with offbeat yarns and combination yarns. A great book for the money -- retail or lower!
