Better than subsequent Kindles
1 of 1 found this helpful My first Kindle was a 3rd. Gen, which I absolutely loved. I bought it when it first came out and it lasted for nearly 8 years. when it finally died I bought a Paper white, which I hate as it is touch screen only and needs both hands to read, moreover, I appear to have poor conductivity and frequently have to swipe several times. I also missed the text to speech which means I can listen to the book I am reading whilst I am doing other activities, then resume reading when I am free. It also has a proper keyboard which makes it easier to type in searches etc. it is great to have found another 3rd gen and have bought a spare battery for when this runs out.
