Good value and quality.

This is a robust stand for a very good price. The boom is long enough for most situations and will take quite a heavy mic without overbalancing. I glad I didn't go for a more expensive model as this does the job just fine.

Comprehensive and readable.

This is the best book of its kind. It has many recommendations from music professionals, teachers and composers. It covers everything in great detail and in very clear English. I would go so far as to say it is indispensible.

Does exactly what it says on the tin.

It's a great book for nostalgiaphiles - especilly if like me you grew up in Burgess hill in the 50s and 60s. Some of the photos I hdn't seen before and the text was illuminating.
