New but old
product description was new and oer the definition of new, unused in original packaging, that was true. However, it appears that it was old stock with the instruction sheet on brittle yellowed paper. I, likely, would have still bought it and it does appear to work normally.
I only took off one star because it could have been described as old stock.

Powerful cooling and looks cool, too
I bought this fan for the choir director to use during practice. It is quiet enough to not interfere with the music but still powerful enough for her to ‘keep her cool’. Otherwise, she had to turn down the central air and freeze out the rest of the choir.
