Samsung Fridge/Freezer dead...try this before call-out & save £££'s
1 of 1 found this helpful Have a Samsung side by side fridge freezer bought in Feb 2017. Failed in Nov 2020...no power, lights, pump noise...nothing. Found a similar problem described on YouTube so decided to try replacing with this PCB and NOT the main one. It's a very simple job, literally disconnecting the power supply, waiting a few minutes for the capacitor to power down then un-clipping 2 connector leads and popping out the PCB then reversing the process to install. Only takes a couple of minutes and worked straight away, saved call-out fee and higher PCB cost + waiting time. I informed Samsung to establish whether this is a known problem as there's numerous people all over Europe that have had exactly the same issue. I had to wear the risk as it was out of 2 year warranty but £55 v's thick end of £200 with call-out and replacement. Purchased on Wednesday and arrived the following Monday via 48hr tracked RM delivery. Packaged in box with anti-static sleeve.

Simplest way to get Wi-Fi throughout the home
1 of 1 found this helpful Cheap and very easy to set up... just plug, press the button and play. Make sure that you select a plug socket that has a decent STRONG signal from your existing router as this is what will give you the extended range that you require. Experiment with different locations before deciding which is the best. You can look at the Wi-Fi signal strength on your mobile before buying to give you an idea for locations. I placed mine on the upstairs landing. Once it's set up you can configure your phones to pick up the strongest Wi-Fi signal automatically if connecting through your mobile.
If you don't get the required signal strength then you'll have to go for a physically wired option from your router or possibly use your hard wired home electrical circuits and these are slightly more difficult to configure. I've used an external Cat5 protected cable from my router to provide coverage in the garden from the gym at the bottom of the garden but using a more expensive wireless access point rather than this type of plug in extender.

Transparent floor protector
Decent quality floor protector - comes tightly wound so takes some time to fully settle flat to the floor. Wanted a transparent covering to protect wooden floor from water and cooking oil damage around sink/dishwasher & cooker and this does the job. Thick and substantial enough to cope with everyday use, the 120x90 size is perfect for both areas and can be rolled up and stored if the practical look is not required when entertaining. Can be a slip / trip hazard so a transparent means of physically fixing to the floor would also be useful.Overall though good value and easy to maintain.
