A game of chess in the 1400's. Mysterious death.
This is an intriguing story about a Flemish painting of the 1400's depicting three characters, 2 gentlemen playing chess, and a lady seated by the window reading a book. Typical painting of the era, but it holds a mystery: who killed the knight? A painting restorer, a dapper older gentleman, a chess wizard - all join forces to find the answer. Very good mystery right up to the end.
