Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx Handheld

Still the best GPS on the market for leading hikes.

I've owned a Garmin GPSMap 60CSx for many years, and just helped a friend replace his old one. The newer Garmin GPSMap models have a gigantic navigation arrow that sits over your location, and makes it difficult to keep on track. The 60CSx may not receive as many satellites as the newer models, but records the track well enough. Cleaning the track makes it comparable to a track recorded by the newer models. This unit really shines when you're following a track recorded by someone else.
