We had another one of these for 20+ years that is why we chose the same make this one is just as good the only thing I would say is that the packaging needs to be better when it arrived the lid was fairly loose and rattling around so the vent in the lid seemed to be too small have opened it up a little and it is better the steam was coming out of the side of the lid and burning my hand even with an oven cloth but now all OK you ask about value!!!! I am hoping it lasts as long as the other one then I will say it is good value
