Events, dear boy!
1 of 1 found this helpful That was what Harold MacMillan said to a younger interviewer many years ago, well I would call 60 years ago quite a substantial period.
And that's what derails you in real life, events dear boy..
So it's taken me a while to think about this review.
Yes, it's worth it. It truly is a smart TV - well my old Sony was 7 or 8 years old and things have moved on. The picture is very good, even though I can only see HD, and the sound is significantly better.
What's more to say?

Lovely design
Got this in early April from Lemon Pavilion. Supplied directly from the manufacturer, Rowlinson Garden Products, at a good price. Arrived very well packed on a fragile and weak, giant pallet. But it was very well packed, and like the item itself, was a good technical design so no harm was done at all.
Be aware that to get the longevity you would hope to get for over £1000, a lot of preparation is needed. And I mean a lot. It will take me about six weeks to get to the point where I can say it's ready to build, putting in several hours a day with a water-based wood preserver and a little water-based paint/stain. Once it is built (two or three days) it should be straightforward to apply three coats of wood stain/paint to the outside and more to the inside.
I think this effort will be well worth it. It's a great design but also one of the biggest projects I have ever done in my 70 years of life - the only challenge would be the central heating system I installed from scratch in the 1970s. It is a major project which would be difficult to get as a bought-in service.
I am convinced of the product design and, with careful pre-treatment, I am also convinced it will prove well able to withstand the rigours of a Scottish setting. And it would be nice to comeback with photographs, perhaps in early June.
