Does what it says on the box (if it fits)!
1 of 1 found this helpful Provided this fits the air vent slats on your car, and then there is sufficient adjustment to get it into the position you want, it does the job well. Trouble is, you will not know unless you buy one and try it. Is there a compatibility list available because I could not find one? On my car the air vent is curved and slanting back, I would like to view the Sat Nav in a slightly more vertical position, but it is acceptable. However, this would not fit the vent on my wife's car and even if it did it would be in an unworkable position.
I think this is a bit pricey though.

Economical, quick and effective fix.
Fixing a C Max 2009 bonnet release mechanism. I was relatively confident that it was the original clip that was at fault because the mechanism had been iffy for many months but was still operating intermittently - with patience and persistence. Having seen on the internet what the three likely causes are, singly or in combination, I was able to open the bonnet by pushing extremely hard on the cylinder lock whilst turning the key, again with some persistence. I then took the mechanism apart and I found the lock cyIinder and Bowden cable rotated fully and strongly when not connected to the latch. So adding further evidence to the clip being the problem. I trimmed 2mm off this part before fitting, as other reviewers recommended. 3mm might have been better because it was still a slight squeeze to mate the two parts. Result - the bonnet release mechanism has not worked so well for a long time. This part reminds me of something out of a Lego Technic or Knex set, but if the Ford clip is the fault it does the job very well indeed. Many thanks.
