Built to last
1 of 1 found this helpful Used in the garden as a surround sound amplifier with an assortment of good-to-high quality stereo speakers found on ebay. Perfect for this, as you can adjust the channel volumes individually. Sound quality is excellent, and as good as you could hope for for its current use - can't say what it would sound like in a cinema or similar, but I suspect it would be excellent, and very good value.
They are actually relatively old now (for digital electronics), but you wouldn't notice using it, apart from its slightly 'retro' looks. It is quite sturdy, well built and exceptionally heavy. Mine came (second hand) with no padding in its packaging, and I suspect might have picked up a dent on the top on the way - but it turned on first time with no issue at all.
Only negatives are that it is a bit fiddly to use some of the controls, as I gather many Denon products are, but it is nothing a bit of common sense can't figure out.
Overall, superb, and, as long as it lasts me at least a year, a really good second hand purchase!
