Barely okay
I bought this toy for a program on water for 6th graders. We wanted to demonstrate how humans used water, as well as inventions that had been created to make water more available and clean. We bought the toy as a demonstration of the Archimedes screw (explaining to the students that to have one of these in the classroom, we needed to have one that recycled the water to the original container). The screw works, but is very, very weak. It needs to run for several minutes to have the water flow anywhere close to continuous. It fascinated the students for a minute, but did not really inspire them to think about how it worked or why people would need it.
The parts are not particularly durable, and they do not stay together well.
