Mika - Life in Cartoon Motion
Bought this for my eight year old daughter and was pleasantly surprised by it. Was expecting it to be trashy pop but I have to admit that almost every track on it gets into your head and you find yourself singing the songs all day long! Favourites are Billy Brown (my daughter thinks the lyrisc are hilarious) and Big Girls, can't get either of these tracks out of my head. Hopefully none of my friends read this as I have the reputation of been a 40 odd year old ex punk! Definately worth buying to listen to on long journey and it'll have you singing along in no time. Put it on your "must buy" list now.

About as good as it gets
When Snow Patrol first appeared on the scene they were right up there with the best of the new alternative rock. A few years on from that and they've grown into a massive band, more pop than indie, and this was undoubtedly their best album release to that date. From the opening track, how to be dead, this album shines like a star amongst the dire and mediocre clap trap that gets passed off as "must have" albums. If you only buy one Snow Patrol album then this is the one to get, you just will not be disappointed and there isn't a bad track to be found here, just classic angst bleak pop from start to finish. Go buy it - you know it makes sense.

The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From
one of the greatest rock albums of all time!. The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust is perfect. Standouts include Five Years, Moonage Daydream, Starman, Soul Love, Ziggy Stardust & Suffragette City. Listen to this first and you wind up becoming a Bowie junkie. You won't be able to help it. This was Bowie's first of many concept albums, and it was the best. Davie Bowie is, first and foremost, an experimenter. Over and over again, he experiments with style, with format, with dress, with words, with the internet, etc. Get this CD, and see his most triumphant experiment of them all: a concept album about an alien from outer space, and the Earth's reaction to him.
