They work a treat and were easy to fit (just remember to prop the boot up with a brush or something).
Boot now opens and stays open without the worry if it starting to fall down.

Best basic boiler timer switch, full stop!
These timers are just so reliable, I think the one it replaced was over 20 years old.
All over Ireland these have been the choice of heating engineers and house builders for years to control mostly oil boilers and they just work.
I work in IT and I did toy with the idea of a 'fancy' boiler switch, not even a wifi connected one, but just one with an LED screen - it was simply not needed as my heating system is old and it's a combined heat & hot water system and isn't even zoned.
When my last one broke I replaced it with a £25 Timeguard 24 hour immersion switch. I couldn't stand it after 1 day - the pins were pull out for on and were really hard to manipulate - hence this purchase of the APT unit.
The APT is just so easy to use for people with limited dexterity.

I know these are designed/sold as immersion heater controllers, but I've never ever seen one used for that purpose. Most boilers only use a few amps, so having these rated as 16A is overkill. APT should make one for boilers at say something like 5A which would be more than enough for any old boilers out there, but I fear the quality just wouldn't be there, and at least if there is a slightly dearer 16A model then it'll work with everything.
