A truly great and classic recording.
John Conolly is one of the finest GENUINE folk-singers & composers of the 20th Century (and now the 21st Century) in the north of England. I am fortunate in that I have known John from the folk-club days of the 60's and 70's. Whilst he is now not exactly 'in the first flush of youth' he is still performing both in United Kingdom and internationally, and I believe he will continue to do so with his great talent and enthusiasm until God finally calls his number.
A truly great man of Great Grimsby, a man who understands the fishing industry and the near, middle, & distant water fishermen and fish-dock toilers like very few do.
