An excellent stylish, efficient and economical tower fan with great features
I really like the Igenix DF0038wifi tower fan. It is attractively designed (much more stylish than most). I have the white version, which is matte white with gloss black accents. It is incredibly well-specified, with 8 fan speeds, 3 breeze modes (normal, natural and sleep - the latter two vary the fan speed, normal stays on the speed you have selected) and an extremely quiet operating sound. Oscillation is silent. There are true touch controls on top of the tower (without mechanical buttons) and an infra red remote control (finished in white) with lithium battery provided which also has all the controls on it. A blue digital display on the front of the fan shows the ambient temperature whilst power is connected in standby, and switches to displaying the set fan speed when it is running, along with small icons for wifi, breeze mode and timer (this is settable in half-hourly steps up to 8 hours, and shows the value whilst setting and for a while afterwards on the main display). The display dims to less than half brightness after a few seconds of non-interaction.
The DC motor that this fan has is very quiet and efficient (it never uses more than 25W, even at full power, about half that of typical 3 speed fans) and is what gives it 8 speeds rather than the typical 3.This is great as the lower speeds are gentler and quieter than the lowest speed of a 3 speed tower fan but still very efficient for cooling, whilst the higher speeds are at least as fast and efficient as the top setting of a 3 speed tower fan, but still a little quieter I think. In August 2022, its power consumption doesn't register on my smart meter until it's near the top of its speed range, and even at the very powerful speed 8, it's only indicating 1p per hour!
The wifi connectivity is useful, though initially tricky to set up. I ended up using the Smart Life app rather than the one suggested in the instructions. It works great on Android and Apple devices for me. I haven't yet tried it with Alexa, but that should work too I believe. It's useful as it shows the ambient temperature on the phone or tablet even whilst the fan is running, and allows you to pick and set a particular speed instantly, whereas with the infra red remote or the fan's own touch controls, you need to cycle one by one through the 8 speeds in one direction only, though it does loop from 8 back to 1, which is helpful. The app also gives access to all the other controls too: power on/off, timer setting, breeze mode etc. and the fan responds instantly (it doesn't ramp up the display brightness or beep as it does if settings are operated by the tower's own touch controls or the infra red remote, so the app can be useful if you want silence and minimum brightness whilst altering settings).
All in all, a very impressive fan that is also light enough to move easily and has a built in, secure storage compartment at the rear for the infra red remote so you don't lose it, and it won't accidentally fall out, even when carrying the fan!

Really excellent binoculars at a bargain price point but premium optics and build
Excellent little 8x32 binoculars with a magnesium chassis weighing in the mid 500g range (actually the same chassis as the Viking Merlin ED, but these do not have ED glass and are only about 60 percent of the price. Optics are very good indeed with no observable fringing on my pair in any case (what ED glass is normally used to minimise) and the dielectric prism reflective surfaces make these incredibly bright - more so than many 8x42 models actually. Nice modern style low-profile eyecups (functionally still as deep as deep-looking ones on the majority) and large ocular lenses make these far less finicky about eye position than most similar models. Rubber armouring is very well textured and not sticky-feeling as many are.

Beautifully finished and nicely styled binoculars with very good optical performance
Good optics on these and extremely well-finished - the case is a cut above those usually provided at this and higher prices too. The weight is typical for a good-quality 10x42 - around 670g. Very solid build quality and not an obviously generic design as so many are, even from well-known brands.
