Bach to basics
This publication was virtually unusable. The transcriptions were done by a 'score translation computer program' without human editing. Consequently the tablature included unfeasable fingering and plucking patterns, lack of clarity in the layout and no proper left hand indicators in difficult passages. The staff notation was so far removed from the original Bach layout that it was impossible to read without very close scrutiny--same thing: a machine transcription/arrangement.
I complained to the publisher who agreed and said they would review the arrangements in future editions.
I have gone back to Bach's autographed scores to make my own mark ups and arrangement . This is not a useful book and I cannot recommend it to anyone except skilled musicians who can do their own arranging. my rating 3/10
