A most enlightening read!
A most enlightening read! I learned more about Scottish history from this book than I was ever taught in school in the 50's. It was good to see ourselves as others see us and thanks are due to Arthur Herman for his excellent book.
It seems Scotland achieved most in a period when England was not meddling or worse. Could independence bring about a similar resurgence in the 21st century?
